🏡 Family Promise of Grant County 👐🏽
Every 6-8 weeks, we assist in hosting and serving families who are experiencing homelessness for seven nights. Through a ministry of hospitality we provide beds, meals, and fellowship to our guests. We are always in need of volunteers to cook, clean, host, and sleep over night.
🏳️🌈 Southwest Wisconsin Rainbow Alliance 🏳️⚧️
We are active in our community in support of our LGBTQ+ friends, family, and neighbors. Join us in supporting Pride in the Park every June!
🎤 Voices United Inclusive Poetry Slam 📓
At 7pm on the third Thursday of each month, we sponsor an inclusive poetry slam at Badger Brothers Cofee on Main Street. Join us for an unforgettable evening of spoken word and raw expression at Voices United: an inclusive poetry slam that celebrates the power of storytelling and the strength of community. All ages, all backgrounds, all voices: THIS STAGE IS FOR YOU!
🏳️🌈 Talking Trans + & TransAction 🏳️⚧️
At 8am on the last Sunday of the month, we meet for TALKING TRANS+ at Badger Brothers Coffee. Talking Trans+ is a safe space for trans and nonbinary people and their families and friends to discuss matters concerning safety and health care issues.
At 5pm on the last Monday of the month, we meet for TransAction at Platteville Public Library. TransAction is for families and allies of trans and nonbinary family members, especially children.
🥯 Monthly Memory Cafés ☕
At 10:30am on the third Friday of each month, we hold a Memory Café at the Platteville Senior Center. A memory café is a welcoming place for people with forgetfulness or other changes in their thinking, and for their family and friends. Memory cafés are a place to talk with others who understand what you are going through, to leave behind limitations, and instead focus on strengths, to enjoy others’ company, and to explore something new.
🎼 Choir 🎶
A few times a year, our choir joins us in worship to lead hymns and perform a special musical piece. You can contact the office to find out when rehearsals and peformances will be. We would love to hear your voice!
