Kar Holloway, Office Manager & Custodian (they/them)

Kar Holloway is originally from Preston, Iowa, raised one of ten siblings. They moved to Platteville with their husband, Joe, in 2010 after graduating from Loras College with a BA in English Literature. They had one son, Ronnie, who passed away in 2020, and they are expecting another baby in April 2023. They worked several years at the Dubuque Regional Humane Society and have loved being involved in the wider community. They have a great love of all animals, especially their cocker spaniel, Zelda, two snakes, one leopard gecko, and several fish. Their special vocation is in working towards a more just and equitable world for all people. They are pleased to serve this open and affirming congregation!

Nancy Fairchild, Organist (she/her)

Nancy Fairchild earned her Bachelor’s degree in music education from UW-Platteville and master’s degree from the University of Illinois. Following a 40-year music teaching career she retired in 2018 from the Platteville schools and UW-Platteville where she taught every age from kindergarten through college. Nancy’s post as organist and music minister with United Methodist Church began in 1975 and continues today. Outside of music, Nancy enjoys long bike rides, swimming, volunteering, reading, watching sunsets, spending time with her four grandchildren, and traveling the world with her best friend and husband, Dan.
